when I was 14..salvador dali taught me....

For those who haven't yet visited Dali at LACMA, this is fair warning, he's leaving January 6th!
I hope nobody misses it.
I'm sure everyone's been to a few Dali exhibits by now, as have I,
but, this one was truly the greatest I've seen.
Not only were the installments and films absolutely mesmorizing,
but it also offered a great deal of insight into his life and career, I came out feeling as thought I knew him.

Make sure you go, friends!

Having been fucked is no excuse for being fucked up!

Kimya Dawson came to our small town,
and I think just about anyone with a heart
was completely touched.

There were many new and friendly faces,
and dozens upon dozens of cupcakes.

First was Pat Regan, from l.a, (who I'm going to start a rock n roll band with)

Flawless sincere innocent insightful young man
Please listen:  http://www.myspace.com/patregan

Next was Tall Tales and the silver lining, from Ventura

Good vibing epic country folk for the soul
Please listen: http://www.myspace.com/talltalesmusic

Lastly, was Kimya!

She is, in all honesty, one of the most stunning and inspiring human beings I've ever met. Her songs and stories brought tears, laughter, insight, and an overall sense of substance and meaning to every single person there. My mom still bursts into tears just talking about it. It truly was an experience.

Going out to dinner with her and her beautiful family and all my friends after, was a real real great time, never to be forgotten.

Also..Howard recorded the whole show, so I'll put those up eventually)

Thank you to all those who attended, it wouldn't have been what it was if one single person was missing.
Now, Go see Juno (seriously)
